His background includes:

• 20 years experience in reinforced soil
• Current member of the British Standards Committee on reinforced soil (BS 8006)
  • Active on this committee since 1985
  • Secretary of each code writing sub-committee
  • Main author of design sections of BS 8006
• Current member of Eurocode Monitoring Committee on construction and design of reinforced soil
• Designer of many noteable reinforced soil structures (both in the UK and Overseas) during his career with package providers including:
  • Ro-Ro ramp carrying UK's largest moving load (British Construction Industry Award winner)
  • One of the Worlds largest seawalls
  • UK's first and only rail over rail bridge abutments
  • Abutments supporting one of UK's longest single span bridges
  • UK's tallest Anchored Earth walls
  • All structures on Europes largest reinforced soil project
  • Most of the structures on the Trans European Motorway in Turkey including some of the world's tallest walls, all seismically designed
  • All of the structures supporting Dublins Rapid Transit rail System (DART) (DC electrified rail traffic)
